Hand forged from 12, 18, 22 gauge .925 sterling silver wire, this one of a kind necklace has been carefully designed and crafted by the designer to cage the large dark apple green, tumbled Arizona peridot. The lines of the setting echo the silhouettes of the view of the mountains from the top of Peridot Mesa, which is located on the San Carlos Apache Nation. Layers of mountains, framing the horizon. This is a substantial and durable piece that can easily be worn daily. The design takes the idea of wire wrapped/ caged stones and puts a modern flare on it by caging the stone with hammered wire. 5 main wires make up the main setting and are held together strongly with cold fusion technique, using strength and tension created by forging and placement of the wire. Its longer length chain, measuring 20 ¾” makes this necklace versatile, able to be worn with summer tops, turtle necks, or even suiting.
